This Privacy Policy, effective February 2025, applies to My French Grandpa Pty Ltd ABN 72 717 912 863 and its subsidiaries (together, “My French Grandpa”, “we”, “us”, "MFG"). This Privacy Policy provides you with information about the personal information we collect and handle regarding our customers, members of the public, visitors to our websites, and users of MFG apps, social media, digital wallets, and other digital services.

In addition to this Privacy Policy, MFG and their third-party partners (where applicable) have privacy notices and other terms that provide further information about your privacy. Those additional privacy notices and terms contain important information about the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information by those businesses and their third-party partners.

Why do we collect and handle your personal information?

We collect, hold, use, and disclose your personal information so that we can provide our goods and services, including our online e-book product, improve and personalise our offerings, and operate our business effectively. This includes, but is not limited to:

MFG Digital Services and direct marketing

MFG operates a range of websites, email services, online advertisements, and social media profiles, collectively known as MFG Digital Services. We want you to feel confident that your personal information is being used to offer a better and more personalised experience across our platforms.

We and our service providers (such as Meta, Google, Omnisend, Klaviyo, and Adobe) use various technologies - such as cookies, beacons, tags, and pixels - to personalise and enhance your experience. These technologies may also help us detect fraudulent activity and prevent security breaches, so we may collect information about your device from within the cookie.

These technologies within MFG Digital Services may be used to:

How to Limit or Restrict Marketing and Tracking Technologies

If you wish to limit or opt out of direct marketing or the use of cookies and similar technologies, you can:

  • Configure your browser or device settings to reject and delete cookies, block JavaScript, disable location services, and anonymise your usage patterns. However, this may limit some website functionalities, such as adding items to your basket or completing purchases.
  • Manage your preferences within your MFG Online Account under “Account > Preferences.”
  • Click "Unsubscribe" within any marketing email you receive from us.
  • Reply "STOP" as instructed in an SMS to opt out of text marketing.

Please note that some service and transactional messages cannot be opted out of. These include account-related notifications, password resets, order confirmations, updates to our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy, and important product information.

 

Procedure to access or correct your personal information

If you wish to access or correct any personal information we hold about you, please contact us via email.

When making an access request, please provide as much detail as you can about the specific information you seek, in order to help us retrieve it. Under the Privacy Act and other relevant laws, we may be required to provide a written response to you if we are unable to respond to your request, outlining the reasons why we were unable to do so.

Where you request MFG to correct information we hold about you, but MFG elects not to make the requested correction, you may request MFG to add a note to your information outlining your position.

If you have any questions or complaints about this Policy, or our handling of your personal information, you can contact us via email.

Once a complaint has been lodged, we will let you know who will be handling your matter and when you can expect a full response within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, please let us know and we will investigate further and respond to you.
